Using the Centre
In order that applications to book the centre can be considered fairly, the following considerations will be made to ensure the centre space is allocated effectively:
SYP 'Crucial Crew' event will be allocated space as a priority, however it will be possible to consider allocating space during the 'Crucial Crew' event at times when the centre would otherwise be unoccupied i.e. at weekends, during half term holidays and in the evenings.
Priority use of the Centre is based on delivery outcomes in the following categories:
- Community Safety
- Personal Safety
- Personal Responsibility
- Citizenship
- Community Awareness
A further consideration will be made regarding the proposed activities' link to age, ethnicity and gender and their relevant representation within South Yorkshire.
Applications for activity or events must be made initially to the Lifewise Development Manager.
All activity should be based on the criteria outlined above.
Please refer to the SYP Statement of Agreed Policy and Associated Procedural Instruction for further information relating to booking the centre and applicable charges.
Each proposed activity will be judged on an individual basis and the decision of SYP Lifewise Development Manager will be final.
All activity will have to comply with Centre use requirements and restrictions as outlined in the Lifewise Booking Guidance Brochure.
All activity in the centre will be governed by an Operational Contract between provider and recipient.
Please see the generic risk assessment for the Centre (SYP 12). The Centre must receive confirmation in writing (letter, fax or e-mail) at least 7 days in advance of your event to say that the 'SYP12' risk assessment covers your risks.
If your planned activities involve risks over and above those outlined in the 'SYP12', a separate risk assessment must be submitted to the Centre at least 7 days before your event.
