In order to ensure long term benefits to communities across South Yorkshire wishing to use the Lifewise Centre, it is necessary to apply an appropriate charge for some events in order to generate funds to sustain the operational running costs. Applicable charges will be introduced with effect from 1 April 2009.
The following information is a summary. Please refer to the SYP Statement of Agreed Policy ‘Lifewise Centre Booking & Charging Policy’ and related Procedural Instructions for further information.
- During business hours, no charges will be made for events booked by South Yorkshire Police, South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue, statutory bodies, the voluntary sector and charitable trusts.
- Charges during business hours will only be made for private / corporate bookings and external bookings outside of the South Yorkshire area (relevant charges outlined in the Lifewise Booking Brochure and SYP Procedural Instruction will apply).
- ALL out-of-hours events (evenings after 6.00 pm and weekends) will incur out of hours charges– such charges will apply in ALL circumstances.
- Additional charges will be incurred with regard to the provision of hospitality and trestle table hire (if required).
Once the Booking Form, Operational Contract and hospitality forms are received, the Lifewise Charging Schedule will be completed by the Lifewise Team and returned to the applicant for approval.
